From legal contracts and medical records to poetry, subtitles and software localization, ITA’s online “Find a Translator” search connects the public with vetted, specialized Hebrew-language professionals.
The Israel Translators Association (ITA) is highlighting its “Find a Translator” online directory, a searchable database that helps individuals, businesses, law firms, publishers, and government bodies locate qualified translators working into and out of Hebrew. The directory lists professionals by source and target language, area of expertise, service type, and professional certification status, making it a central resource for anyone seeking Hebrew-language translation, editing, interpretation, subtitling, or localization services.
The directory reflects the breadth of Hebrew translation demand in Israel and abroad. Listed translators work between Hebrew and English, French, Spanish, Russian, German, Yiddish, Italian, Portuguese, Ukrainian, Czech, and Romanian, among other languages, and many list fluency in more than two languages, enabling multilingual project support from a single professional.
Areas of specialization represented in the directory span legal translation (contracts, wills, and family law), medical and pharmaceutical translation, technical and engineering documentation, business and financial materials, academic and literary translation, and Judaica and Jewish history. Additional specialists focus on entertainment and media work, including subtitling, video game localization, and marketing transcreation, while others support software and website localization for the technology sector.
Beyond written translation, many directory members offer complementary services, including proofreading, editing, interpretation, post-editing, and machine-translation post-editing (MTPE), giving clients flexibility to match the right service to a given project’s scope and budget. A number of listed translators also hold formal recognition or certification through the ITA and report proficiency with computer-assisted translation tools such as MemoQ.
“Our directory exists to make it simple to find the right translator for the job, whether that means a legal specialist for a contract, a medical translator for clinical documentation, or a literary translator for a novel,” the Israel Translators Association said. “Hebrew translation covers an enormous range of subject matter, and matching that expertise to the right professional is central to accurate, high-quality translation.”
