New book "Sunken Leadership" by Dr. Joe Aniello is released, an urgent call for rethinking leadership in America’s tense political landscape

“Sunken Leadership” by Dr. Joe Aniello has been released worldwide. This 147-page collection of essays takes stock of the myriad social and political issues facing modern life, particularly in the United States, and offers unflinching insight into the ways society has inadvertently replaced inspiring leadership with middling “management” that doesn’t provide the nation with a sense of direction or purpose.

Throughout these cleverly titled, sometimes scathing examinations of the sociopolitical landscape, Dr. Joe combines his twenty years of experience in academia with twenty years of experience in corporate business to provide a unique perspective on the key differences between leadership and management. This distinction, and the lack of true leadership available in America today, is a driving factor in the current polarization plaguing political parties, religions, and the fractured factions of society.

The book is particularly timely for anyone considering candidates in the upcoming presidential elections, and any other scenario involving selecting people for leadership roles.

“Sunken Leadership” also serves as a powerful companion reader to leadership textbooks that seek to educate the effective, sincere, and authentic leaders of tomorrow. With unconventional wisdom and plenty of panache, the author shows the peril of diametric opposition and the often “extremist” viewpoints held by those on opposite ends of social and political issues.

He advocates for a more balanced perspective of a “hallowed middle ground,” making a compelling case for finding points of agreement through the practice of authentic leadership and relinquishing ideological constraints.

Thought provoking, irreverent, and sometimes controversial, these essays are a wake up call for a world poisoned by sensational media and the failures of unwittingly choosing management over true leadership. Dr. Joe Aniello refuses to pull his punches, and gives readers an urgent message to course-correct by rethinking the organizing principles of society.

Sunken Leadership (ISBN: 9781962987400) can be purchased through retailers worldwide, including Barnes and Noble and Amazon. The paperback retails for $14.99 and the ebook retails for $4.99. Review copies and interviews are available upon request.
