Coco Bump, fast gaining strong traction in Black maternity support box market, changes name to Cocolife.black for a distinct identity in the industry.

Philadelphia, PA – April 01, 2021 – New Black-owned maternity retail and resource organization Coco Bump, LLC has recently rebranded their website name to “cocolife.black” and would be officially entitled as per the rebranded name from this month onwards. The Philadelphia-based company extends support boxes for Black moms in 3 key Maternal stages, Pregnancy, Postpartum & Compassion (pregnancy or infant loss).

Per the statements of the company President Alexia Doumbouya, their rebranding initiative has been made official in response to request from a leading industry competitor with a similar name.

“We are glad to announce that we recently rebranded our website name from ‘CocoBump.com’ to ‘CocoLife.black’ and we would be officially entitled by the rebranded name from now onwards. Essentially, one of the major bump box companies reached out to us recently and requested to change our brand name, apprehending customers could confuse our brands which might hamper their presence in the market. It’s definitely a big high for a new brand like us to find that a decade-old company is apprehensive of a shaken hold in the market due to our brand. In other words, their reaching out to us somewhere conveys that, despite being a relatively new name in the market, we have been able to develop a strong influence in the Black community and our audience does appreciate our curated resources as well as phenomenal retail which includes our highly sought after Coco boxes”, stated Alexia Doumbouya.

“We must stress here that we have the highest regard for all our competitors. We believe our industry offers ample space for all of us to co-exist happily and flourish at our own pace amid a healthy competition. Also, a big thank you to our team, Tei, El, Sophia & Anika for acting so quickly to complete this rebranding.”
