Proactive Pelvic Health Welcomes Two Bright and Passionate Pelvic Health Practitioners to the Team

November 22 20:57 2021

There is always something new and refreshing about the changing of seasons. For Proactive Pelvic Health Centre, this fall brings our community a new alternative for our clients and other individuals to access pelvic health support. We have struggled through a time when access to healthcare has been a challenge, which gave rise to our endeavor to create our sister site, pelvichealthhub.com

This site is dedicated to offering holistic pelvic health and sexual wellness products that individuals can access to help manage these concerns. The site also houses our online education courses on pelvic health and wellness. People can now learn about and manage some of their pelvic health symptoms and related concerns at their own pace in their own place. You can browse and sign up for some of our latest offerings here.

On the clinical front, we are also very excited to be welcoming two bright and passionate pelvic health practitioners to the Proactive Pelvic Health team!

First up is Lauren Rudko, pelvic health physiotherapist. Lauren is a Montreal transplant who obtained both her Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Physiotherapy degrees from McGill University. Her long history of playing and coaching rugby drew her into physiotherapy and learning about the role of the pelvic floor led her to pursue postgraduate work in pelvic floor physiotherapy.

Lauren treats men, women and children experiencing incontinence and pelvic pain, as well as menstrual and sexual health issues. She works to apply a biopsychosocial approach, ensuring to incorporate many aspects of an individual’s life when treating and empowering them to take the lead regarding their health. She has a special interest in pediatric pelvic health and working with individuals experiencing pelvic pain.

Next up is Naturopathic Doctor, Dr. Arlene Dubier. Dr. Arlene is a board licensed naturopathic doctor, birth doula and breastfeeding expert. After completing her Honours Life Sciences degree at McMaster University, she continued her education at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine.

Dr. Arlene has developed a practice focus in hormonal health, including fertility, preconception care, pregnancy and postpartum. She provides a nurturing, gentle approach to health care using natural therapies including lifestyle, food as medicine, herbal remedies and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Dr. Arlene believes that each person should be allowed to learn more about what their body needs, given their individual circumstances and barriers. Her goal is to have you continue on your health journey with minimal intervention.

We look forward to continuing to service our clients and community with top notch, evidence based pelvic health care.
