TransTheatreFest in partnership with Water House Collective Presents, “GenderTalks”

A virtual docu-play remixes conversations between trans, nonbinary, & gender-nonconforming midwesterners about their experiences of gender-identity during 2020 isolation. Tune in for gender truths & secrets…

Queer experimental group Water House Collective is presenting GenderTalks at several fringe festivals this season, including PVD Fringe on July 24th and 25th, Minnesota Fringe on August 5th, 6th, 8th, 12th, 13th, and 15th, and the Philly Free Fringe on September 3rd, 4th, 10th, and 11th.

The play was developed from actual Zoom conversations between trans and gender-nonconforming individuals located in Dane County, Wisconsin, and Black Hawk County, Iowa.

Created by Orion Risk, and directed by Sy Bedrick, GENDERTALKS is a groundbreaking docu-play featuring performances of actual Zoom conversations between trans, nonbinary, and gender-nonconforming people about their experiences of gender-identity during isolation in the summer of 2020.

Featuring a 100% trans and nonbinary cast and production team, this virtual play remixes the original conversations into a collage of euphoria and dysphoria, longing and joy, isolation and connection.
